Hello everyone. I'm popping in for a quick post with this mistletoe card.
I found this image in my UFO box. I think it was a freebie that I coloured in several years ago. All I needed to do now was add more shading with my Copics and coloured pencils and die cutting it into a panel with a red mat behind it. The sentiment (Winnie & Walter) was stamped in black Versafine and fussy cut.
To add a little more interest to the background, I did some very light ink blending over an old stencil using Speckled egg distress ink.

Gorgeous image and gorgeous colouring Marianne, your card is beautiful. I love the soft background, it contrasts wonderfully with the deep red frame and bow. Well done!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Beccy
Great find in the bits box, must admit to have a few of those projects in my finished but not on a card!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in at Uniko. :)
Oh lovely, especially that wonderfully soft background!
ReplyDeleteStunning! Love the subtle use of the stencil. Thanks for playing at Uniko. Stay safe and keep crafting!
ReplyDeleteMarianne, you picked one of my favourite christmas-decorations - the mistletoe.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I love them cause when I was a child I often went with my dad for searching nice toes in the areas around our village... But that's long time ago - this year I found a very beautiful one here in my town (and I'm still not sure if it's ok to just take them from a tree on an open field or fawn...).
Hope you had a heartfelt kiss beneath one of them!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful card with us in the Uniko Challenge #68
Best wishes fom Wiebke
