Stencilling and hearts - Card Chain Challenge reveal

Hello everyone. This is my second post for today. In my earlier post I shared an invitation to the 2-day virtual healing retreat, where I will join my teacher/mentor Dipal Shah and a few fellow healers to boost your healing journey and spiritual growth.

My current post was supposed to be up yesterday for the CCC reveal of all the cards that were exchanged in February.

My card went to Gail (aka ionabunny) in Norway.

I used both the sketch and the hearts prompt.

I started with some soft stencilling on my card base before adding the tags. The lilac tag is from a snippet of lilac cardstock while the rainbow tag was created from a snippet of a watercoloured panel from my UFO box. The pearlescent hearts are also from my UFO box.

I'm also linking up my card at:

White on white hearts

Hello everyone. I'm back with a birthday card for our granddaughter for her 19th birthday.
The design was inspired by a card by Laura Bassen for the recent SSS release, where she used different sized hearts in different colours.

I thought it would be fun to use the design for a white card and added interest and texture using different embossing folders. I also changed the orientation to a landscape design. For my card base I used hammered cardstock, but I had trouble catching all of the texture in my photograph. The Dutch sentiments and coordinating die is by Carlijn Design.

Pinks for the January CCC reveal

Hello everyone. Thanks for stopping by.
It's the 2nd of the month, which means it's time to reveal all of the cards that were exchanged in the Card Chain Challenge this past month.

This month, my card went to Joanne in the UK. I decided to use both the sketch and the colours.

I started by creating my pink front panel by combining cardstock in two shades of pinks and then did some ink-blending over it use a NBUS stencil. I left the packaging somewhere out of sight, but I think it's from Stamperia. I finished with a strip of the brighter pink and stamped the sentiment. To finish off, I stamped a small butterfly in the top left corner.

There is still a few days left to sign up for the upcoming February exchange at the Card Chain Challenge blog. And if you sign up right away, you will be sending a card to me! Wouldn't that be fun?!

I was thrilled to see that one of my long-time followers, Gail of What's Normal, decided to join the fun next month. Yay!

QCAS Christmas card with ink blending

Hello everyone. I'm back with a quick as well as clean and simple Christmas card.

I had stamped the text using one of my sister's stamps (Lavinia, if I remember correctly) when I was visiting back in October. I simply used a circle mask to do some ink blending with distress inks and added a bow from another stamp set in my stash. I drew the string using a Sakura mikron pen and a ruler.

I'm linking up my card at:

This will be the last CHNC challenge that Hazel is hosting.
Thank you, Hazel, for running the challenge blog for 12 years to keep us motivated!

December Card Chain Challenge Reveal - Peace Love Joy

Hello everyone! Wishing you all a wonderful 2023 full of peace, love, joy and miracles!

It's the 2nd of the month, which means it's time to reveal the cards of the December Card Chain Challenge. My card went to Julia Aston in the US.

We were playing Tic Tac Toe this month, and I picked the diagonal line from the top left: green, bird, friendship, splats, silver.

I used a smooshed background from my UFO box and stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment and birds from a NBUS stamp set by Avery Elle (Noel). I had been admiring this stamp set for a long time and was able to snag it in a sale a few years ago but never got to use it until now. I used my much loved SSS stitched rectangle die to die cut my panel and adhered it to my white card base.

Do pop over to the Card Chain Challenge blog to see all the other cards that were exchanged this month and consider joining us for our January exchange. You still have 4 days to register for this month.
