Hello everyone. I am working frantically to get my Christmas cards done so that I can post them in time to hopefully reach our family and friends before December, 25th. That also means I'm hoping to post frequently fast this upcoming week.
Anyway, the panel for today's card was mostly created during Laurel Beard's scenic stamping class at the Eat Sleep Crafty Retreat back in June, but I was struggling a little on how to turn it into a card. I did not like the sky, which was all white, so I decided to add a light wash using a pale blue ink and a large brush and lots of water. I also added a few snowy banks before adding the panel to my card base with a green strip of cardstock behind, much like my cocoa card from a previous post.

NBUS - #31 My NBUS item is this beautiful Penny Black stamp
Such a pretty winter scene Marianne, I really love the stamps, particularly the big pine trees. Great idea to add the blue wash to the sky, it's lovely and soft but still gives a contrast to the snowy ground. Fabulous!

Ja Mar, je hebt het echt kloppend gemaakt. Ik vind de gedeeltelijke groene strip net als bij de andere kaart heel mooi en nèt wat anders dan een hele omlijsting van groen. Xx Ineke☀️

ReplyDeleteWonderful card, I love your winter scene.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a beautiful winter scene like this to look at outside my window. Alas, it's all fog and rain... So the perfect card for a recipient in similar circumstances!
