Balloon twofer

I managed to create two cards for this month's Twofer challenge, which is all about balloons.

Here's a close-up of the first one. The background was made by applying DIY glitter embossing paste (translucent paste + glitter embossing powder by WOW!) through a dot stencil. The striped die is by Papertry Ink (Mix & Match: Flourishes). The balloon die is by Marianne Design and was cut from an ink-blended (CP ink) panel. The hugs die (MFT) has 3 layers adhered together. For the top layer, I used direct to paper using CP ink.

Apparently, this day is being celebrated on March, 3rd,
but I guess this day is worth celebrating any day of the year.

For my second card, I die cut a stencil from Yupo paper using the PTI ink die and then blended CP ink throught the stencil to create a subtle background. I used several green CP inks to blend the cardstock for my balloon turned shamrock. The sentiment (MFT) was heat embossed in gold (Papermania). A few jewels finish off the design.

    I'm glad your computer cooperated in time, Marianne! So frustrating to have technology issues and I hope they are resolved soon. Your two designs are fabulous and CASlicious! I love your water-spotted balloon hugs with the angled stripes die-cut for background dementia! Great job keeping a similar feel with your stenciled stripes on your birthday card! The green balloon flower looks great with the splatters and that sediment is too funny! I think the WILL should be capitalized!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challegen #14!     Wonderful twofer, Marianne! I love your blue and silver elements and the dot and diagonal stripe combination on your hugs card.     Its cards like this that remind me I don't use green enough of my own cards!! Such a soft colour and it really pops against all that crisp white. And such a cool idea to turn the balloons into a shamrock!! So very excited you joined us at TIME OUT!

    Two beautiful creations! Love your use of dies in your hug card. The stripy background die you used adds a lot of detail and is just perfect for a cute, fun CAS design like this one. Love all the white space, makes the balloons and sentiment really pop! Thanks for joining us at Time Out!
