Spring tulip

We had a lovely warm and sunny spring day over here, which put me in the mood for this spring card. I bought this stamp set by Clarity Stamps in a sale a year or so (or more) ago but had not used it yet.
I love this sentiment and the way the single tulip reinforces the meaning of the sentiment.

I first stamped the sentiment in black but decided that was a bit too much, so I started again using Black Jack ink (Catherine Pooler), which is much softer. After stamping the tulip image from the same set, I coloured it in using Primacolor pencils. I think I need to make a few more...

I'm playing at:

LIM - #389 OLC Focus on the sentiment

SSS Wednesday - Anything goes

Time Out - #130 Unique

Colour Crazy - wk8 Anything goes

  2. Erg mooi Mar. Het lettertype er omheen, vind ik prachtig.
Ja, het is een mooie tijd om tulpen te kleuren. Haha, toevallig kregen jullie een andere kaart van mij! Je zus Alie, kijkt nu naar mijn tulpen.
    Liefs Ineke 💐

  3. A delightful creation as always and love how the sentiment goes round the Tulip. Have a good weekend.
