Because I did not want to cover up the middle part of the paper, I used a stitched rectangle die (SSS) to cut it out and create an aperture for my current card. I stamped my Christmas tree three times using different shades of warm grey (Altenew). To ground the trees and give the impression of snow, I tore two strips of tissue paper (or rather: a left-over piece of baking paper) and adhered those using liquid glue.
I'm playing at:

SSS Wednesday - Anything goes
This looks great! Loving the idea of the aperture and your script paper is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the May Rudolph Days Challenge.
What fun texty paper ... and I love the texture on that prior trio of trees ... so glad you got TEXT-y with us at Jingle Belles.

oh WOW, this is as clever as it is beautiful! i love the way you cut the center out of the gorgeous text paper to make it into an incredible frame for the fun sparkly trees! so happy you got texty with us at JINGLE BELLES! ♥
ReplyDeleteMooie opdracht en heel leuk uitgewerkt, Mar. Liefs, Ineke😘
ReplyDeleteAs you notice: I'm playing catch-up again now that I've finally had a blissful day of doing nothing last weekend (in all the continued re-doing and moving madness). A Christmas card! Can't wait to get going on those but I'm afraid it will be August before I start. The font on your paper reminds me of old video games which is quite fun the way it's juxtaposed with the peaceful image.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful...love your sweet card, that background is fabulous! Thank you so much for playing along with us at ATSM!
