Golden rings for Christmas

Hello crafty friends. I've been having a crafty weekend and created several cards for a couple of challenges. I have also had a busy working day today, which means I need to be quick to post and link up my cards.

This month's CAS Christmas challenge proved a real challenge, until I realised that I had two NBUS dies with intertwining rings. I ended up creating two versions.

For my first card, I used Centura pearl card in rose gold to die cut my ring element as well as a bow from a different die set. For my background, I stamped the scripty sentiment block (from an old Artemia stamp set) twice using DOIs in Iced Spruce and Peeled Paint. Unfortunately, the subtle grey and green don't really show up on the photo. For a softer look I used a panel of vellum to cover up the stamping and adhered my ring/bauble/ornament to the vellum. To adhere teh vellum, I dabbed a little glue behind the bauble. I also added a coppery string, which I extracted from a piece of baker's twine. To finish off I adhered a few gem stones from my stash.

For my second card, I die cut the rings and bow from two shades of yellow gold and used peel-off strips from a previous Love from Lizi kit to create the stripes and string for the bauble/ornament. I finished things off with a few gold sequins.

I'm linking up my first card at:
