MCV84 and MFT Superstar

My Favorite Things have launched their annual Card Design Superstar contest, and I was determined to play along in at least two of the three categories. So when I was creating my card for the current Muse ChristmasVisions prompt using some MFT goodies, it suddenly hit me how I could kick my design up a notch for the Innovation Master category.

The gold image on a gold panel was inspired by Kimberly's Muse card, shown below.

I started by rubbing Inka gold onto a panel of Neenah white cardstock using my finger. I then gold heat embossed the tree from the Merry Christmoose set three times for extra dimension (thank goodness for the Misti) and then heat embossed the sentiment only once. Next, I used a craft knife to cut an opening in the basket to create a mini shaker element, which I filled up with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins (Classic Christmas mix).  Here's a close-up showing the dimension from the triple heat embossing.

One down, two to go! Stay tuned for my next contest entry!
