Happy B-day 2 you

My third card in a row features stamps from Winnie&Walter (Bigger bang flurries) and CAS-ual Fridays (Bold wishes) and a die by Simon Says Stamp (Bundle of stitched shapes).

I used another fun technique from the current OCC CAS4 class by stamping the images using Gesso and applying distress inks (Broken china and Faded jeans) after the gesso had dried. The gesso resists the inks.

The silvery strips and the flower embellishment were made using Ranger's Liquid platinum embossing powder and the sentiment was heat embossed in white (Simon Says Stamp) onto some Neenah solar white card stock that was given the desired colour using Glass slipper ink (Studio Calico). To finish things off, I wrapped some white twine (local supermarket) around the card, mounted the layers onto my Neenah cardstock and added white Enamel accents for the flower hearts.
