More stickiness

The sticker sets I bought consist of several small stickers in varying colours, so it's very difficult to combine them on one card. After seeing the sketch at a fairly new challenge blog, 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, I decided I could use two of the small white and gold stickers on two CAS cards using this sketch.

I used some post-it notes to mark off the area on the right, which I then swiped over with Old paper distress ink (Ranger's).  I applied a little ink around the edges of the card. I stamped the sentiment (My Sentiments Exactly!) with Frayed burlap distress ink. I affixed 3 pieces of Kars ribbon (several years old but never used until now) on the inked area and finished the card off with a small sticker from the set I bought at the DIY store.

Here's the sketch I used:
While I was rummaging through my stash, I also found a large sticker/embellishment. It had been stored for so long that the foam pads had started to crumble, so I had to replace them all. That's what you get from not using your stash, LOL. So as a spin-off from the two cards above, I also came up with the following card:

That's 3 more Christmas cards done! Woohoo!

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges:
52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - Sketch # 3 (first two cards)
Jingle Belles - Stuck on you (part 3)
ABC Christmas challenge - D for Distress it
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
Paperplay - Something old, something new
(old: ribbons, sticker/embellishment;
new: small stickers on first cards, sentiment stamp)
Catch the Bug - Anything goes

  1. Wow - 3 Christmas cards already done. I'm jealous. I was going to get started on mine in January and still don't have a one. These are lovely. I love the clean design and how you used the ribbon.

    Thank you so much for sharing Maura O'Conneell's "Blessing". Love it! I just purchased the MP3 from Amazon. We have a huge Irish festival here every summer and I am going to have to watch if she performs on any of the stages. We get lots of really good entertainers from Ireland. Its great fun!

    Have a great evening!
