Sending comfort and joy my deer

Hi there! I'm popping in with a quick post and card for a couple of challenges.

I cut out the aperture in my front panel using a brand new frame die (which arrived today lol) that cuts out a sweet picture frame. Behind the aperture I adhered two layers of tissue papers onto my card base. The top layer was stamped with an old Hero Arts background stamp, while the bottom layer was a coloured piece of tissue paper from my UFO box. The stamped, coloured and die cut deer (Hero Arts/Sizzix) came from my UFO box as well. The sentiment stamp is from the Comfort + joy set by Winnie and Walter.

Watercolouring through a stencil

There's a stencil party going on over at StampNation, and one of the tutorials by Ingrid Blackburn was about watercolouring through a stencil. I figured my NBUS Flutterby stencil by ARTplorations would work great with this technique.

I tapped 3 colours of ink (Catherine Pooler) onto an acrylic block, picked up the colour with a fairly wet brush and painted it through the stencil onto my panel of watercolour card (Ranger). I also added fine splatters in the same colours. When my panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from my NBUS Charmed stamp set (Altenew) in Versafine black and heat embossed in clear. I die cut a skinny frame (Frames, SSS) and adhered it to my panel using liquid glue and then adhered my panel to my card base using strong double-sided tape.

Kraft and gold for Christmas

Hello crafty friends. It's time for the annual festivities at the Winnie & Walter blog, because W&W are celebrating their 5th anniversary. Yay! Today's card was inspired by one of the 5th Birthday Bash challenges as well as the current Rerun challenge. I was inspired by the card that Heather Hoffman made for the Rerun challenge. I took the general layout and the gold + kraft + colouring elements to create this Christmas card.

I used the following W&W stamp sets on my card:
* background: In bloom: Hollie's festive florals
* image: Sweet Holiday with Evelin T Designs
* sentiment: Season's Tweetings with Evelin T Designs

I stamped all elements, including the edges of my top panel, using Versamark and heat embossed in SSS Antique gold ep. After colouring in my image using Prismacolors, I used a white gel pen to add in the white details, and adhered my panel to the card base using thin foam tape.
