Having only a few supplies to play with automatically means you need to try and use them creatively. As it happens, I also had to create a card for a young lady who will be turning 12 next week and who loves her dog and playing the piano. Based on the MFT products I own, I figured a card with a piano/music theme would be fitting. And I decided to put a little pink in the mix as well (literally). After all, the card is meant for a young lady!
I started by die cutting black and white cardstock using the Chevron Stripes dies and arranged & adhered them onto a piece of printer paper before cutting my panel to size and adhering it to my card base. I also die cut the musical notes and treble symbol from the Musical Notes die set several times from gold holographice cardstock. I created a vellum envelope using my scoreboard and filled it with several die cut musical notes and a mix of flat sequins in white, gold and hot pink. After heat embossing the sentiment from Banner Greetings in white ep onto another piece of vellum, I fussy cut the banner and adhered it to my shaker envelope using a strip of double-sided tape. I also glued on a few die cut musical notes. I then adhered my vellum shaker element using double-sided tape, and my card was done.
I do hope the birthday girl will love this card as much as I do, lol.
