Hello crafty friends. I hope your are all still keeping safe and healthy. We are very fortunate to be living on an island with only 15 cases across the island and only one active case on the other side. What's more, I can continue working from home as always.
I have hardly seen my craftroom these past few weeks, preferring to be out in the sun when we had some during the weekends, but I finally managed to create/finish a few cards today.
This month's Twofer Card Challenge was calling for cards featuring rain and/or an umbrella and I just happened to have ordered a copy of the Papercraft Essentials magazine earlier this month, featuring a fabulous April showers-inspired stamp and die set from Clearly Besotted.
For my first card, I used one of the solid stamps to create a border around my card panel using Melon ice CP ink, and rotating the stamp 180 degrees to stamp again using Bellini CP ink. The sentiment is from an older stamp set by Concord and 9th. The black frame was drawn by hand, using a ruler and a Micron pen.
For my second card, I did some ink smooshing using the same colours of ink, and then stamped and die cut 3 umbrellas. The sentiment is from a free downloadable PDF that is available in Catherine Pooler's shop. I printed the page at 50%, fussy cut one of the sentiments and popped it up using foam tape, along with the 3 umbrellas.
