I've been playing in my craftroom to create these two sparkly Christmas cards. I've had this Holiday Sparkle stamp set by PTI in my stash for a long time but never used it until now. Using it also gave me a wonderful opportunity to use up some gems I had been hoarding.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh4p8ehepN_pxEtplIhYiAHGlVUWRzbK6UUKhuXU1bG-e2VU2XFMCYNR8yU37dOmqANABPk-ym203HCfFUYnMdJDIM1-Yo8RRyj4gVHk76KUbx4UGvUwkUbdoBoHlpIQ7l-KgzAy2vNkLqgZgkHSNJLO62LtmkLvVMP5iULWj6s5cffCoJ91UKEwC5vUg7m" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1799" data-original-width="1792" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh4p8ehepN_pxEtplIhYiAHGlVUWRzbK6UUKhuXU1bG-e2VU2XFMCYNR8yU37dOmqANABPk-ym203HCfFUYnMdJDIM1-Yo8RRyj4gVHk76KUbx4UGvUwkUbdoBoHlpIQ7l-KgzAy2vNkLqgZgkHSNJLO62LtmkLvVMP5iULWj6s5cffCoJ91UKEwC5vUg7m=w398-h400" width="398" /></a></div><p>I started with these larger gems on the bottom card, but quickly discovered I was running out of the green ones, so for the card at the top I used a different package of gems. After heat embossing the sentiment in gold EP, I decided to also add the gold to the edges. To finish off, I added a strip of shiny gold paper behind my stamped panel.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I'm linking up my cards at:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2024/03/bling-on-holidays.html" target="_blank">Jingle Belles</a> - Bling on the Holidays</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiR14XJChe96U3KkjLuy_DfGkoy8id8Bx2xXLGJZgTyBmWD21tze0CyKmh6OKFiXoorAF8Mmxxj-FVx2f0Dz0emFAmoQhr2dPGJJZP19gmDt3m2VB0x_3OiuNrLdTtj6YcgqDq0xv94JkQGTMyF5aD7ToSoKYqCpRgdTamTqll9xraoUr3N_gae-P3TCmJ8" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="188" data-original-width="400" height="94" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiR14XJChe96U3KkjLuy_DfGkoy8id8Bx2xXLGJZgTyBmWD21tze0CyKmh6OKFiXoorAF8Mmxxj-FVx2f0Dz0emFAmoQhr2dPGJJZP19gmDt3m2VB0x_3OiuNrLdTtj6YcgqDq0xv94JkQGTMyF5aD7ToSoKYqCpRgdTamTqll9xraoUr3N_gae-P3TCmJ8=w200-h94" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://rudolphdayschallenges.blogspot.com/2024/03/rudolph-days-march-challenge.html" target="_blank">Rudolph Days</a> - AG Christmas</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgkWwXuVwkV_uC1tDYiXBUbOzVhuQzOHr7ly-WZ_0tCdcbIcWFFL-LDdnrY202cJiCzR0t8YoWQHi8Fq4QVqvf2sSKR2npXN_FxWGfzhd3IYeFFZHXZZNzgELL3RTJAtkFgvh2hh8hsOMnubJvSzOPq2XHSGQYwpNroTaLN9rNF1cS6siuRGE2EhWmgsRoD" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="200" data-original-width="200" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgkWwXuVwkV_uC1tDYiXBUbOzVhuQzOHr7ly-WZ_0tCdcbIcWFFL-LDdnrY202cJiCzR0t8YoWQHi8Fq4QVqvf2sSKR2npXN_FxWGfzhd3IYeFFZHXZZNzgELL3RTJAtkFgvh2hh8hsOMnubJvSzOPq2XHSGQYwpNroTaLN9rNF1cS6siuRGE2EhWmgsRoD=w200-h200" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2024/03/nbus-challenge-60.html" target="_blank">NBUS #60</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgafROi9Vag_uIJ5E9GbRpT3SCGel--3Zub6VJNTyW9MErDtIE1CIQ2ip16Ozr384M5p5VMuti8L1PIx3F2FHWYZ3hIdZPWgSJfMWRi-dNvnd6Y1259VZEuxmUZjC6Q1qwlcBFKbCa3wKRcRsR4BymZz3DGrwxR9B7acUB-9nvRy2j-Fz86akGbjTlwOxzv" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="215" data-original-width="293" height="147" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgafROi9Vag_uIJ5E9GbRpT3SCGel--3Zub6VJNTyW9MErDtIE1CIQ2ip16Ozr384M5p5VMuti8L1PIx3F2FHWYZ3hIdZPWgSJfMWRi-dNvnd6Y1259VZEuxmUZjC6Q1qwlcBFKbCa3wKRcRsR4BymZz3DGrwxR9B7acUB-9nvRy2j-Fz86akGbjTlwOxzv=w200-h147" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/challenge-464-any-occasion.html" target="_blank">ATSM </a>- #464 Any occasion</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi-COTW1764V-dJrNypZ1tH7GOjmY0wmr91WITEYotg-XhkOE_CfWmCgG6HaKNlwost0fygenwsedPqL36thRr3GTH8d19Y1qiOKesL01X_r1-eHbm84jZWGgKyY3s3p2WaFP9hpPWQ_jJqEkYt-R8IUdh42z5Bk3RHi6pLlCskavQ4QQ_lN7Oby9IdeYsW" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="113" data-original-width="320" height="71" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi-COTW1764V-dJrNypZ1tH7GOjmY0wmr91WITEYotg-XhkOE_CfWmCgG6HaKNlwost0fygenwsedPqL36thRr3GTH8d19Y1qiOKesL01X_r1-eHbm84jZWGgKyY3s3p2WaFP9hpPWQ_jJqEkYt-R8IUdh42z5Bk3RHi6pLlCskavQ4QQ_lN7Oby9IdeYsW=w200-h71" width="200" /></a></div><br /><br /></div></div></div><p></p><p></p>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-13539586329367909872024-03-12T23:50:00.000+02:002024-03-12T23:50:14.707+02:00Joy to the World<p>Hello everyone. I've been creating some cards these past weeks but haven't gotten around to posting them. But I really wanted to share this card that I created last weekend with my new text die that I recently bought. Yay me, for using it right away lol.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOzNYRAybOObqMv3-3hxrvXRR29b06wqh2xvg-sHxbV7G8_Dx1JXULe6f5Iv6Wj3TCLE96q4kGQWstxXffU05czJ-f-r3gR0-6BLg7NPnPQkx-5q6oLGUoEAfgZqQPgT6vNqkBYtf9kOWS7QTEohJVeKa4hbh3sm6MtLFRr9BZCG4Tp3486AImr3IUR3I0/s1546/Chr24_Joy_World_MV.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1546" data-original-width="1546" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOzNYRAybOObqMv3-3hxrvXRR29b06wqh2xvg-sHxbV7G8_Dx1JXULe6f5Iv6Wj3TCLE96q4kGQWstxXffU05czJ-f-r3gR0-6BLg7NPnPQkx-5q6oLGUoEAfgZqQPgT6vNqkBYtf9kOWS7QTEohJVeKa4hbh3sm6MtLFRr9BZCG4Tp3486AImr3IUR3I0/w400-h400/Chr24_Joy_World_MV.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p>The lovely <a href="https://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2024/03/holiday-cards-to-diecut-for.html" target="_blank">Jingle Belles</a> are asking us to use die cuts as our focus this fortnight. It's the second of the month, and that means it's time to share the cards that were exchanged this past month for the <a href="https://cardchainchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/card-chain-challenge-reveal-february.html" target="_blank">Card Chain Challenge</a>. This month, we had 34 participants exchanging cards across the world. </p><p>This month, my card went to <a href="https://mojeszydelkoweprzygody.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Ella in Germany</a>.</p><p>I used the sketch, the flower theme and the stencil product option.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8FQeI5G0xE2v3mMFWcRSQz1ohAGvhyphenhyphenFllwlvqvhVGiN_8kzkMhXnoxauuAB-tqUcI6S6-Q126gxyeHSXUYEslLTjbxBiOro31NSF9wZFWnNfXlxlkRAtZkeT_4X7AG1eFtR2vXsu7cUCd6Hv5RZ3_QA8t2i_hYtQQb0Z_Xg4dz9UOnaHx0vM8auxvuq1L/s1546/Marianne%20V-Greece_Feb24.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1546" data-original-width="1546" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8FQeI5G0xE2v3mMFWcRSQz1ohAGvhyphenhyphenFllwlvqvhVGiN_8kzkMhXnoxauuAB-tqUcI6S6-Q126gxyeHSXUYEslLTjbxBiOro31NSF9wZFWnNfXlxlkRAtZkeT_4X7AG1eFtR2vXsu7cUCd6Hv5RZ3_QA8t2i_hYtQQb0Z_Xg4dz9UOnaHx0vM8auxvuq1L/w400-h400/Marianne%20V-Greece_Feb24.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>The stylized flowers are from a NBUS bundle from Altenew, Scalloped Ornaments, consisting of a stamp set with matching stencils and dies. When I ordered it 2 years ago, it came with a free online workshop, and I recently decided to watch it and break out these NBUS supplies. That means that I have a few more cards to share with you soon.</p><p>After I did the stamping and stencilling on my florals, I put my panel back into my Misti and stamped again using Versamark ink and heat embossing in Rose Gold. I'm popping in today with a Christmas card I created using a new to me 3D embossing folder (SSS) and an old sentiment die (Winnie & Walter, no longer in business).</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjvFQkx28fGQrI1McLCzljS5YOvl9eFgDXEPTbk9vwdKUTPQ24Wn271BWciTM4PdJpW27iTKyd6ieCn-HeQXSZ7RXQJBfc7KbtVRC4jrT8PjhdK8hEjWFgjVv7-jr-CmsnVAcZo7VmX80kGvjXZEgQr2PTV9AIbqidPhHUqYWs34OnwVD1AyCx08WJ4sTkt" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1999" data-original-width="2000" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjvFQkx28fGQrI1McLCzljS5YOvl9eFgDXEPTbk9vwdKUTPQ24Wn271BWciTM4PdJpW27iTKyd6ieCn-HeQXSZ7RXQJBfc7KbtVRC4jrT8PjhdK8hEjWFgjVv7-jr-CmsnVAcZo7VmX80kGvjXZEgQr2PTV9AIbqidPhHUqYWs34OnwVD1AyCx08WJ4sTkt=w400-h400" width="400" /></a></div><p></p><p>I did the embossing using Centura Pearl cardstock and then decided to highlight the 'frosting' with a white Sakura gelly roll pen, the only white pen that will work for me. For the sentiment I used white glitter card (Marianne Design) with a black shadow layer.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I'm linking up my card at:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2024/01/something-old-something-new.html" target="_blank">Jingle Belles </a>- Something old and something new</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/2024/01/jan-2024-rudolph-days-challenge.html" target="_blank">January Rudolph Days</a> - AG Christmas</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-113/" target="_blank">SSS Wednesday </a>- Anything goes</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2024/01/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html" target="_blank">Can You Handle the Pressure</a> - AG with an embossing folder<br />(optional twist: Birthdays)</p>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-24403887974131376352024-01-18T00:03:00.003+02:002024-01-18T00:03:45.842+02:00More upcycling for Jingle Belles<p>Hello everyone. I'm back with more upcycled packaging for Jingle Belles.</p><p>Before I remembered the Christmas gift bag, I used some old packaging (probably from Christmas cards at a time that I did not make enough cards myself), to create the perfect backdrop to this super cute bear from Katie Skilton's Festive Animal Antics collection. The bear and the Santa hat are in the Bear and Deer set. The sentiment is from the Fun Sentiments set that is part of the collection.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiaeujF51njYOvYnx_y4Pe8A1ghAUwtGlElnmRUVuvOT-P4fZzTUTo7RGZmgMex_SM9wzdVkFWgS7QuRhJ4MWDhcklkOGwOgR62u-waJ3trjhROJPkjy2HlvrL2PRz-khAaWEenFRdwt6DtiIeihkwJncXmhyTWAhwSVARJOb6R7dkVUWDVGg-RzmC4B3rh" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1995" data-original-width="2000" height="398" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiaeujF51njYOvYnx_y4Pe8A1ghAUwtGlElnmRUVuvOT-P4fZzTUTo7RGZmgMex_SM9wzdVkFWgS7QuRhJ4MWDhcklkOGwOgR62u-waJ3trjhROJPkjy2HlvrL2PRz-khAaWEenFRdwt6DtiIeihkwJncXmhyTWAhwSVARJOb6R7dkVUWDVGg-RzmC4B3rh=w400-h398" width="400" /></a></div><p></p><p>I had this snippet of white card that was exactly enough for die cutting two bears. I tried different cardstocks and colours for the belly and snout and found a snippet of silver Centura pearl card that was the perfect match for the silvery grey background. I love that the dies can also be used as a stencil to add colour, e.g. to the ears, while the debossed lines are perfect to add black details using a Micron pen.</p><p></p><div style="text-align: center;">I'm linking up this card at:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2024/01/nbus-challenge-58.html" target="_blank">NBUS </a>- #58 AG with NBUS</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEibEdLgh1Unoevu6SM1D9xq0dTOhDGOfEJ-256On-kKr7YY63GwGwYaS5bxcTu6GU8MgdQZv0IlaWd2mgHBfH7XhwmPKw_iVSKFa7ottm3Enq6s8-b1Lmbfm54_vPfl9bfelhF4kRvqicJMojfO5zkdeBwRb1_x4ji1mq9lx_tmcX2Dgr023mwuLMkax-3H" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="215" data-original-width="293" height="147" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEibEdLgh1Unoevu6SM1D9xq0dTOhDGOfEJ-256On-kKr7YY63GwGwYaS5bxcTu6GU8MgdQZv0IlaWd2mgHBfH7XhwmPKw_iVSKFa7ottm3Enq6s8-b1Lmbfm54_vPfl9bfelhF4kRvqicJMojfO5zkdeBwRb1_x4ji1mq9lx_tmcX2Dgr023mwuLMkax-3H=w200-h147" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://pixiessnippetsplayground.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-471-celebration-theme.html" target="_blank">Snippets Playground</a> - #471 Celebrate<br />To celebrate 12 years of the Snippets Playground <br />under Miss Di's supervision<br />I used snippets for the bear and belly/snout and a <br />similar snippet of white card for the sentiment.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhkMuFKfir4iSvjv2Ugff6kp2yJcQr6LVDdn4HnRkhSyrBIktNNHsLsBYNPChW9C-kb_Y2sNv9vbir1UEadkPzAUFRXbPFGAI4wHwZqPe0FMlE5lznwRU8pUXt3n3cMfofQ9XCRYf5X8Md-DiZiwgG5Vg7xV_n2HSHgc96XBMJOd6Va3xKQVhb0pT6RR5v7" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhkMuFKfir4iSvjv2Ugff6kp2yJcQr6LVDdn4HnRkhSyrBIktNNHsLsBYNPChW9C-kb_Y2sNv9vbir1UEadkPzAUFRXbPFGAI4wHwZqPe0FMlE5lznwRU8pUXt3n3cMfofQ9XCRYf5X8Md-DiZiwgG5Vg7xV_n2HSHgc96XBMJOd6Va3xKQVhb0pT6RR5v7=w241-h320" width="241" /></a></div></div></div><p>I was about to discard what was left of the bag when my eye fell on the garlands at the top of the bag (front and bag). For these bears, I decided to use the other hat in the set. I added the white detail using a Sakura gelly roll, again using the debossing as a guideline. Thanks for stopping by.<br />I am determined to avoid the November cardmaking stress by starting my 2024 Christmas stash early, like I have been doing for several years. And what better way than to play along with some of the fun Christmas challenges out in blogland?</p><p>The lovely Jingle Belles are challenging us to use Christmas gift wrapping for our cards. Since we don't exchange gifts for Christmas, I had to resort to the only Christmas gift bag that our dog received from our sweet and lovely dog trainer. </p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiSL4goyi0y3CoPdXDqcRsIhmh4uB9aRcVtcb4KNhtsY_vunb49q7FR52wmzrEulZP4--AW5rucw6xEFO5_6Inhrek0_Zi7tOQX_TfLpb-YuXPv0H-HnEJFHFwtCyCDQq9BbGyKpmdQmB-deKNLnRuj2cMRRiss2xsmp9Q9TvnqOpcbfDgKDPZ0ZNwSdtE5" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1383" data-original-width="1383" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiSL4goyi0y3CoPdXDqcRsIhmh4uB9aRcVtcb4KNhtsY_vunb49q7FR52wmzrEulZP4--AW5rucw6xEFO5_6Inhrek0_Zi7tOQX_TfLpb-YuXPv0H-HnEJFHFwtCyCDQq9BbGyKpmdQmB-deKNLnRuj2cMRRiss2xsmp9Q9TvnqOpcbfDgKDPZ0ZNwSdtE5=w400-h400" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: left;">For this first card, I simply die cut a rectangle panel from the glittery side of the gift bag and paired it with an older stencil and distress ink blending. I added a mat of dark green behind my Santa panel and finished things off with these new sentiment dies from the Festive Frames and Sentiment die set, which is part of Katie Skilton's Animal Antics collection that I could not resist buying at Craftstash last summer. You will be seeing more of this collection on my blog soon.</span></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">I'm linking up my card at:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2024/01/wrap-it-up.html" target="_blank">Jingle Belles </a>- Wrap it up!</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-something-new-8/" target="_blank">SSS Wednesday</a> - Something new</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://12monthsofchristmaslinkup.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-108-anything-goes-christmas.html" target="_blank">The 12 Months of Christmas </a>- AG Christmas <br />(optional: die cuts and/or embossing)</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://merrylittlechristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/mlccb-54-anything-christmas-goes-mlccb.html" target="_blank">MLCCB</a> - #54 AG Christmas</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://movingalongwiththetimes.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-162-january-new-craft-item.html" target="_blank">MAWTT </a>- #162A new craft item </p>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-62516584080112660452024-01-02T13:46:00.001+02:002024-01-02T13:51:14.496+02:00Sugar and Spice for CCC December 2023<p>Hello everyone. Wishing you all a happy, healthy and crafty New Year!</p><p>It's the 2nd of the month, which means it's time to reveal all of the cards that were exchanged in the Card Chain Challenge this past month. You can check out all of the cards in the <a href="https://cardchainchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/card-chain-challenge-reveal-december.html" target="_blank">CCC reveal post</a>.</p><p>This month, my card went to <a href="https://www.treebug.org/" target="_blank">Tina in Slovenia</a>. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLLFzUgYvniVrhd3nhZwH3OnrRRL9lcAde6n33n-OqXSIDIij6mborMuarOGUKb6uXKok2b9qDxC980zNLICyagiZVIe0Aa-8rvhYbHKe2-kXg8bGx-Ur9noz5waZrgOGzVja4gDDtIrd343u30BLge80XDl4yTRw-gOD0TOq3W5J2vs1iyG13psGX6FAz/s1200/Marianne%20V-Greece-DEC2023.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLLFzUgYvniVrhd3nhZwH3OnrRRL9lcAde6n33n-OqXSIDIij6mborMuarOGUKb6uXKok2b9qDxC980zNLICyagiZVIe0Aa-8rvhYbHKe2-kXg8bGx-Ur9noz5waZrgOGzVja4gDDtIrd343u30BLge80XDl4yTRw-gOD0TOq3W5J2vs1iyG13psGX6FAz/w400-h400/Marianne%20V-Greece-DEC2023.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p>The Tic-Tac-Tic-Tac-Toe 5x5 grid had me stumped for a while, until I realised that I could go with row 5 down, using the gingerbread man as my 'bloke'. The colours do seem rather pink in the picture instead of the burgundy from the Tic-Tac-Tic-Tac-Toe grid, but I did use Aged Mahogany distress ink as my darkest red.</p><p>The heat-embossed sentiment is hard to read in the picture but it says: Sugar and spice and everything nice.</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiUH2Y5ShSg74Hkxngiu7nzUXVV3rXzeSFPl1rSVUuEnxH_SOKUusxdiac5z-jMZ6LsQ2A8I6zhbZ6e5VGKDbrP-_i-tMUl6x7xkX8DsO02AxtocxbCCnijGHz3kDibXzaTbK1IHd5wkgmiJewP7GSwmNrvrD9m9RBwnmq9bnQQApjKCFhZPoCtM69l3CJf" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="299" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiUH2Y5ShSg74Hkxngiu7nzUXVV3rXzeSFPl1rSVUuEnxH_SOKUusxdiac5z-jMZ6LsQ2A8I6zhbZ6e5VGKDbrP-_i-tMUl6x7xkX8DsO02AxtocxbCCnijGHz3kDibXzaTbK1IHd5wkgmiJewP7GSwmNrvrD9m9RBwnmq9bnQQApjKCFhZPoCtM69l3CJf=w239-h320" width="239" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p>I also realised I never shared the card that I sent to <a href="https://dottypuddingdesigns.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jo in the UK</a> for the November CCC. <br />Some of you may have seen the card before, since I pulled the it from my stash. I was in such a frenzy finishing my Christmas cards that I could not find the peace to sit down and create a CCC card from scratch. This year, I intend to create more Christmas cards throughout the year again, so that I can avoid the end of year cardmaking stress. In fact, I already created my first two 2024 Christmas cards yesterday. Yay me!</p><p>Anyway, here's the card I sent out last month.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglZF8r1A3difniZsWYDNWNkfy8dvYpe1l5w7Cx-LfUMMqTPvX-SC-0_-S4309ugE1B-caQaV-Nphm3mrs8dUTWNgQ_7A0TAltN4NqXleY2w1t9jy6q2lnnh4xwMRsQi195rMgmwfmDayKMmmlQcYDBMHCRR2ueCk4a_adJ4Dl-Da3WdB4CF9xKftSE-DmL/s400/Marianne%20V-Greece_NOV2023.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="324" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglZF8r1A3difniZsWYDNWNkfy8dvYpe1l5w7Cx-LfUMMqTPvX-SC-0_-S4309ugE1B-caQaV-Nphm3mrs8dUTWNgQ_7A0TAltN4NqXleY2w1t9jy6q2lnnh4xwMRsQi195rMgmwfmDayKMmmlQcYDBMHCRR2ueCk4a_adJ4Dl-Da3WdB4CF9xKftSE-DmL/w324-h400/Marianne%20V-Greece_NOV2023.jpg" width="324" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-70533961499593604462023-11-20T15:49:00.006+02:002023-11-23T23:53:57.514+02:00Joy to the World - Christmas 2023<p>Hello everyone. I'm back with another Christmas card. I created this background by inking up my embossing folder before inserting the cardstock and running it through my die cuting machine. After adhering the panel to a white card base, I added this heat-embossed sentiment strip and a die cut snowflake (both from my UFO box) and finished off with a few shimmery gold embellishments.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; I'm racing to get this post up before getting to work, since Beccy has announced another race. I was sleeping through the last one. For these cards I used my NBUS Poinsettia layering stamp set (Hunkydory).</p><p>On the first card, I stamped and gold heat-embossed the greeting in the bottom right corner, but decided I liked in better in the top right. That way, I ended up with 2 same but different cards, just perfect for the extra challenge prompt at Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards challenge.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDCVj1zS2mABX5LFgZDrp4Nz2_cS3VFKu37Lif8gmuWXXaxwo948WKK5Xfg7GKa3FkpB34NcBD9zd0WRVqPpCNA-iMIsoJKA0cEn4drv35t2wOPY7s-eZd5bXsmHh6kzh8ortuenoRLM0aa-JeU5trAttg2N_5UNhdZskLc2iXhZ2Bf-Kbn2QyV1CxPLZl/s1910/Chr23_PinkPoinsettias_MV.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1910" data-original-width="1908" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDCVj1zS2mABX5LFgZDrp4Nz2_cS3VFKu37Lif8gmuWXXaxwo948WKK5Xfg7GKa3FkpB34NcBD9zd0WRVqPpCNA-iMIsoJKA0cEn4drv35t2wOPY7s-eZd5bXsmHh6kzh8ortuenoRLM0aa-JeU5trAttg2N_5UNhdZskLc2iXhZ2Bf-Kbn2QyV1CxPLZl/w400-h400/Chr23_PinkPoinsettias_MV.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'm linking up my cards at:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://beccyschallenges.blogspot.com/2023/11/november-challenge.html" target="_blank">Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards </a>- Same but different</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYKhPpEAhHrIq-TJYKEzz8cBpdDa6pCbTcgL1qQkIcQXMQe8DfFuB_f3ocTyPY4DnT1gTWD2buD6gEPSrpyeb51SXd_ZvUBbYJnmY9DE7qCJLBYQv-ZDs7igRIzeiglzzQ8n5XMvjKb9oIYcgaELsA1PndiYAp9ebjj3WU_ZGlXsImgCzzdqz5bb_71rsC/s640/November%20Challenge%202.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="160" data-original-width="640" height="80" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYKhPpEAhHrIq-TJYKEzz8cBpdDa6pCbTcgL1qQkIcQXMQe8DfFuB_f3ocTyPY4DnT1gTWD2buD6gEPSrpyeb51SXd_ZvUBbYJnmY9DE7qCJLBYQv-ZDs7igRIzeiglzzQ8n5XMvjKb9oIYcgaELsA1PndiYAp9ebjj3WU_ZGlXsImgCzzdqz5bb_71rsC/s320/November%20Challenge%202.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-54686795895588748962023-11-12T23:04:00.038+02:002023-11-12T23:16:38.209+02:00D for Deer - Christmas 2023<p>Hello everyone. I placee a cardstock square in my Misty, stamped this oldie but goldie cup (Verve) 4 times using CP Cranberry Fizz ink, rotating my card panel, and then placed the stamp straight up and repeated the process. To fill up the corners, I used another stamp of the set to stamp the wisps of steam in CP Black Jack ink. </p><p>For the sentiment, I die cut a circle from a snippet of gold card and heat-embossed this oh so fitting and fun sentiment (Caffeinated Christmas by Becca Cruger for STAMPlorations) in white embossing powder, and adhered my card to a 10 x 10 cm card. </p><p>To bring everything together, I coloured in the caps of the cups using a gold gel pen.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ3p9LU5D7q4NdZ2leMVhudK-2pXqtMBC7ZnYrJSbRwRNJ8oe3CkjsUzr47_eSipf6r4xqyneUr6GkXzYVGKDv4KJuzZUSFEgJm2flNbRVKb7tnjO4gxIWSrb8mDa1RobOHL3RL_JjcKiDAV0lwHeKVIKd-q0Pu9HQ_5T-2Mqp4mtTypoSMfUuxdWaR7dn/s1172/Chr23_cups_red_gold_MV.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1172" data-original-width="1171" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ3p9LU5D7q4NdZ2leMVhudK-2pXqtMBC7ZnYrJSbRwRNJ8oe3CkjsUzr47_eSipf6r4xqyneUr6GkXzYVGKDv4KJuzZUSFEgJm2flNbRVKb7tnjO4gxIWSrb8mDa1RobOHL3RL_JjcKiDAV0lwHeKVIKd-q0Pu9HQ_5T-2Mqp4mtTypoSMfUuxdWaR7dn/w400-h400/Chr23_cups_red_gold_MV.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'm linking up my card at:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://beccyschallenges.blogspot.com/2023/11/november-challenge.html" target="_blank">Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards</a> - C for Cups</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6ipghw9GaGpXczy2D4LiDlnyR39TXYKZrwI4jki1jVbaWlVF4rImwfwC3qCfisVlOp1kd-oKlcdyilWGI5Qhym2DOax9VcVxl5eVucoB5k-wC1csxhjv4RmtYqt0OXdO28MopkXVLKWsHD8Bdl9IYJYlm4f7k4qqib-TXVZVfUy4URMpAGAZ58ir10ZMp/s640/November%20Challenge%202.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="160" data-original-width="640" height="80" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6ipghw9GaGpXczy2D4LiDlnyR39TXYKZrwI4jki1jVbaWlVF4rImwfwC3qCfisVlOp1kd-oKlcdyilWGI5Qhym2DOax9VcVxl5eVucoB5k-wC1csxhjv4RmtYqt0OXdO28MopkXVLKWsHD8Bdl9IYJYlm4f7k4qqib-TXVZVfUy4URMpAGAZ58ir10ZMp/s320/November%20Challenge%202.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><a href="http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2023/11/2023-fall-winter-coffee-lovers-blog-hop/" target="_blank">Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop</a> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh61yg1OabxauzVe4EwZm_qiXkYggyaJkiH2R3BWBtQuP28eE84qP8Zci5YDMLPalq7GNq4ZkSooOYc53OwaTTZCFhkJhSNx6iJkZQxYYVkw1GcMqiCUMOgYe939TUKMXoMmAh4sdTM_wkMI3HgUCstDkj9sFRHOEG_lSsBTzUsEIwvasdP7-bzj4Hrt7rH/s1080/2023-Fall-Winter-logo.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh61yg1OabxauzVe4EwZm_qiXkYggyaJkiH2R3BWBtQuP28eE84qP8Zci5YDMLPalq7GNq4ZkSooOYc53OwaTTZCFhkJhSNx6iJkZQxYYVkw1GcMqiCUMOgYe939TUKMXoMmAh4sdTM_wkMI3HgUCstDkj9sFRHOEG_lSsBTzUsEIwvasdP7-bzj4Hrt7rH/w200-h200/2023-Fall-Winter-logo.jpeg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://thehollyandivychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2023/10/challenge-151-anything-christmas-goes.html" target="_blank">The Holly and Ivy</a> - #151 AG Christmas</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2023/11/hard-candy-christmas.html" target="_blank">Jingle Belles</a> - Hard Candy Christmas (favourite holiday food)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-54711264649558130182023-11-09T19:35:00.005+02:002023-11-09T20:12:41.781+02:00B for Bauble Christmas card<p>Hello everyone. I'm back with another Christmas card. This one was also started last month for Pink Christmas.</p><p>I used a NBUS die (Snowy bauble, Gemini by Crafter's Companion) to die cut the bauble/ornament from my huge stash of Core'dinations cardstock and put a pink snippet behind it. I also used a snippet of pink to create a mat for my sentiment strip. The sentiment came from my UFO box. I'm trying to use both my NBUS stash and my previously created elements.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhF3dNJaKqT4I_37NAo6zcsg_YdkZz1v8LR5lsLdKhOMSVY9QuqyfZTrBgfZYojPJsKglvfbDzew17y-EAf7IcbbAaYi5eWTX1BcDGU0dPO4vNyMS7rMeycbSpwMFSkzN8kA53_7wYvsQtgqcnNetpbuQx50q-GL_fK5bqKg9SxcCVbR6SLoGniuyjALYhk" style="margin-left: 1em; I still have a lot of Christmas cards to make before the end of this month, so Beccy's annual Month of Holiday Cards challenge is a great incentive to get going.</p><p>This card was actually started last month, for the Pink Christmas prompt at Jingle Belles, but I did not have enough time to turn all of my ideas into cards.</p><p>I simply combined some toppers/ephemera pieces, added a mat using a snippet of green cardstock and finished off with a pink bow.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg6rBv-mU-scaFKMzeq7muPcGxU5PuFOKzL103s5QladJTtymk1hfOJLpNlQTd0BiS_XEUiX3270Jwu8dfkoqPSyRi7UKBuZXsXMC4vjtB36IMo6Q_XBj7ERRrghT6VvOdx2HGBhe7BSAU5Y5TFNGJxg3eqyrI1q2sX1n3MVHk9yAgqxORDjCYwu0Fgb3nY" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1450" data-original-width="1454" height="398" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg6rBv-mU-scaFKMzeq7muPcGxU5PuFOKzL103s5QladJTtymk1hfOJLpNlQTd0BiS_XEUiX3270Jwu8dfkoqPSyRi7UKBuZXsXMC4vjtB36IMo6Q_XBj7ERRrghT6VvOdx2HGBhe7BSAU5Y5TFNGJxg3eqyrI1q2sX1n3MVHk9yAgqxORDjCYwu0Fgb3nY=w400-h398" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'm sending my card off to play at:<br /><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://beccyschallenges.blogspot.com/2023/11/november-challenge.html" target="_blank">Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards</a> - A for Animals</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://pixiessnippetsplayground.blogspot.com/2023/10/challenge-466.html" target="_blank">Snippets Playground </a>- #466 Always AG with snippets</div><br /><br /><p></p>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-89937486247417577432023-11-02T13:23:00.002+02:002023-11-02T13:23:41.830+02:00October Card Chain Challenge reveal<p>Hello everyone. I'm back with one more batch of Pink Christmas cards to celebrate Pink Christmas for the Cure at Jingle Belles. I actually have more cards in the works but did not have enough time to finish them up. At least I'm making great progress on building my Christmas card stash, and about time too!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbbaVWDb8pHIypDzPtQ5rtKakO1pQS1RrI5fD-UEJe8kCS-6E84IVZ86NjRUN-4oi6azoSRvJAL2Iav8XCyA_KjuNdBkQziThVQ6wKxR_heF7v3pmUldkMr5kNNB1XoHNhej2UK7W4g0mcoEhpapHLF2h24Ix4ahpOyy8GbByBc4l5TxjdxuDFkKmbKDpT/s1920/Pink%20Christmas_mixmed_1_MV.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1919" data-original-width="1920" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbbaVWDb8pHIypDzPtQ5rtKakO1pQS1RrI5fD-UEJe8kCS-6E84IVZ86NjRUN-4oi6azoSRvJAL2Iav8XCyA_KjuNdBkQziThVQ6wKxR_heF7v3pmUldkMr5kNNB1XoHNhej2UK7W4g0mcoEhpapHLF2h24Ix4ahpOyy8GbByBc4l5TxjdxuDFkKmbKDpT/w400-h400/Pink%20Christmas_mixmed_1_MV.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p>I created the backgrounds for these cards about a month ago, after seeing <a href="https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2023/09/4-for-1-background-magic-free-gift-with-any-purchase.html" target="_blank">Jennifer McGuire's video</a> on creating simple mixed media backgrounds.</p><p>I used 2 sheets of A4 cardstock to create my inky background using Distress Oxide inks, using colours that I knew would work for the annual October challenge prompt at Jingle Belles. Next, I cut up the cardstock panels to create 8 panels measuring 4 x 5 1/4 inch and taped them together at the back before continuing with my stamping and sparkly gold stencilling. I'm hoping to turn the remaining 4 panels into cards very soon.</p><p>I decided the panels did not need any additions other than a sentiment. I used elements from my UFO box, except for the 2 small black on white sentiment strips.</p><p>I love how these turned out. At first I felt a little disappointed because they did not turn out the way Jennifer's did, but now, a month later, I am totally in love. This is how I roll. I also know I will be revisiting this technique again (and again), using other colours (or maybe not 😁).</p><p style="text-align: center;">I'm linking up my cards at:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2023/10/were-dreaming-of-pink-christmas.html" target="_blank">Jingle Belles </a>- Pink Christmas for the Cure</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhUzcSCjTw2kj5LzdMNtwShtVk0MWGUMPNkW36bLnn6o9QVOovjs5JIYNbFPFiCFXT0J4-3gfGDxYEX4i_U2BcqpcEjOH-vHj4E6ZOFY4NFyK8cVgkBkarik4oG_APVQAW0Wo2F4HSm_XqXkWbikOuq1VBEMPCOEjcnisUx1NcCGFAVhL0Ww7hVyAxXM8_E" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="400" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhUzcSCjTw2kj5LzdMNtwShtVk0MWGUMPNkW36bLnn6o9QVOovjs5JIYNbFPFiCFXT0J4-3gfGDxYEX4i_U2BcqpcEjOH-vHj4E6ZOFY4NFyK8cVgkBkarik4oG_APVQAW0Wo2F4HSm_XqXkWbikOuq1VBEMPCOEjcnisUx1NcCGFAVhL0Ww7hVyAxXM8_E=w200-h200" width="200" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://happylittlestampers.blogspot.com/2023/10/hls-october-christmas-challenge.html" target="_blank">HLS Christmas</a> - Anything Christmas goes</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgJ_6OuwdWeKaXHvhUR5NDMB-fanrXYoRNHtY6gzYUxXRUcISx0vngHDEWKCoSig6vvdojIXerixwCxLkJSsYIwRzJCvIlnF59XUHiDIrJR3CoKrPNA6XYpyp-ApbsS_VN3iSxUCV6ehbMmU40VjHRi5-XA46Y-dAgvtkk2Anfni4AQypo36NiVo1HwbH_U" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="320" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgJ_6OuwdWeKaXHvhUR5NDMB-fanrXYoRNHtY6gzYUxXRUcISx0vngHDEWKCoSig6vvdojIXerixwCxLkJSsYIwRzJCvIlnF59XUHiDIrJR3CoKrPNA6XYpyp-ApbsS_VN3iSxUCV6ehbMmU40VjHRi5-XA46Y-dAgvtkk2Anfni4AQypo36NiVo1HwbH_U=w200-h200" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2023/10/week-750.html" target="_blank">Allsorts </a>- #750 AG with the option of texture</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2023/10/abc-christmas-challenge-u-v-are-for.html" target="_blank">ABC Christmas</a> - U is for Use it up</div>Mariannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11340912234685352663noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764635166084404952.post-79438449338649708052023-10-17T17:30:00.002+03:002023-10-21T20:41:50.543+03:00Pink Christmas 2023 - 3<p>For this batch of pink Christmas cards, I was inspired by the masking and blending technique that Lesley of Heffy Doodle showed during last month's Stress Free Cardmaking Summit.<br />While Lesley used white (masked) trees and blended green ink over it, I decided to use my NBUS dove stamp (Peace on Earth set, Uniko) after seeing Bev, the owner and designer of Uniko, use this stamp set in a recent video. I used Catherine Pooler inks and my blending brushes to do my ink blending.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4A7TY8A-JzW0E5kM0b92xOkXra36XWsZjVqNr-L7vZn-OWBWs9Qj4NS8srkdgZuzzk4c-nAuUvCwcMUQaQdwvxvVdXLgA9BpMHVeZf6gPyfqIaYQl67D1E9acIt6X8QeWKn7L1GZ1_lMt8vtof5bRjc_9w_Tv8GHocTM1Hudm0bGK2GTZEtzk8BWfEaDz/s1920/Pink%20Christmas_dove_MV.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; I'm back with some Christmas card creations for my favourite prompt of the year: <a href="http://jinglebellesrock.blogspot.com/2023/10/were-dreaming-of-pink-christmas.html" target="_blank">Pink Christmas at Jingle Belles</a>, where Lauren and Stephanie will donate $2 to the The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the US for each card that is being linked up this fortnight.<br />I also happen to simply love using non-traditional colours on my Christmas, including pink!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdtqSjVamtxRL66EdnrL4qmKAC0TIFjRgWRK3zLqW3ujo29CstkKWpjhfUs3w12SgMdZfnat9Jw6hSm5RdvhqcKtAvStpZkjDk8431oZ8OmM49YS8sTsN-8n2Wx_tH7ZCPML_Ji3RQCx_lB6LUL9obb3bzBKeVkso_pcGp2ch5g9JvozlQ0yJqvmahmsNv/s1709/PInk%20Christmas%20MD%20tree_MV.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1705" data-original-width="1709" height="399" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdtqSjVamtxRL66EdnrL4qmKAC0TIFjRgWRK3zLqW3ujo29CstkKWpjhfUs3w12SgMdZfnat9Jw6hSm5RdvhqcKtAvStpZkjDk8431oZ8OmM49YS8sTsN-8n2Wx_tH7ZCPML_Ji3RQCx_lB6LUL9obb3bzBKeVkso_pcGp2ch5g9JvozlQ0yJqvmahmsNv/w400-h399/PInk%20Christmas%20MD%20tree_MV.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p>These two cards were inspired by Natasha Foote's presentation at the recent Stress Free Cardmaking Summit. </p><p>I used Distress Oxides to blend my background.<br />The Christmas tree is an old Marianne Design die, while the Xmas die is brand new, part of the Festive Animal Antics Collection, designed by Katie Skilton. Hope you all had a wonderful summer or maybe you're still enjoying the last of it lik I'm doing here in Greece.</p><p>It's the second of the month, which means it's time to reveal all of the cards that were exchanged last month for the <a href="https://cardchainchallenge.blogspot.com/2023/09/august-2023-card-chain-challenge-reveal.html" target="_blank">Card Chain Challenge</a>. </p><p>This month, my card went to <a href="http://pineywoodspapercrafter.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Patricia in Texas</a></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnEcTOkqkxb4DGCOmotNkPsypwzrxxjbTvTuJUvLtsrX9Yaywkk5v80mGowzTTEJMGRtAh70g8tHuhG_VTvGiaK6oB3D1kR01qB1YT3rCUSXEQTCQ7DmX3I8Z2kjQOLyi_p0LlmjIf3h4FAJ4gJyUVVfD-lwsw3JJ9f_PVQc4psHlu0R7OUPwDPu_8e4ac/s1538/Marianne%20V-Greece-AUG_2023.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1538" data-original-width="1537" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnEcTOkqkxb4DGCOmotNkPsypwzrxxjbTvTuJUvLtsrX9Yaywkk5v80mGowzTTEJMGRtAh70g8tHuhG_VTvGiaK6oB3D1kR01qB1YT3rCUSXEQTCQ7DmX3I8Z2kjQOLyi_p0LlmjIf3h4FAJ4gJyUVVfD-lwsw3JJ9f_PVQc4psHlu0R7OUPwDPu_8e4ac/w400-h400/Marianne%20V-Greece-AUG_2023.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I went with the CAS theme and also loosely followed the colours and sketch.
