I had a play with my new Arteza real brush markers. I simply grabbed a scrap panel of watercolour card (Crafter's Companion), gold heat embossed the big poinsettia (Pinkfresh Studio / Creative Stamping magazine) three times and set to work. I started with a light colour and added a darker colour when the first layer was dry. For my background, I first used a damp brush over a larger area before coming in with my marker and then drawing the colour out to achieve a softer look.
After my panel had dried, I realised it had a bit of a funny size, but I did not want to trim my panel down, so I rummaged through my prestamped and die cut sentiments (SSS Christmas word mix 1) and decided that this three-word sentiment was the perfect fit. I popped up my panel and sentiment circle using thin foam tape.
I'm playing at:
(3 poinsettias, 3-word sentiment, 3 card elements)
The gold embossing is so elegant and the poinsettias are so pretty on this beautiful Christmas card! Thank you so much for playing along with the Rudolph Days challenge.
