Enjoy the little things

I managed to whip up another card using elements from my UFO box. I had previously die cut the tulip frame from a smooshed panel, while the background had started from an experiment many moons ago with the so-called drunken acrylics technique, based on a tutorial by Lydia Fiedler on Splitcoaststampers. I could not get the technique to work using the paints I have, but I managed to salvage the panel by adding horizontal and vertical strokes.

The sentiment (Altenew) seemed like the perfect addition in these troublesome times. I hope you are all keeping safe and healthy. Here in Greece, we are in lockdown as of yesterday, meaning we are only allowed to leave the house for essentials, as well as for walking close to home or walking the dog with a maximum of 2 persons. So far, there have been only a few confirmed cases here in Crete, but none of us can afford to ignore the safety measures, for our own good. Fortunately, I can continue working from home as usual, which is a blessing.

I'm linking up my card at:

  1. Your die-cut tulip frame is very pretty against the red acrylic background, Marianne! I love that the background shows a little outside the frame. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at CAS Mix Up! Please stay safe and healthy.

  4. The first tulips are in bloom here and I love the sentiment - it is my motto generally, not only these days. I've been lucky, too, being able to switch to almost only home office and try to make it count: commute minus 120 minutes a day, walking plus 120 minutes a day. At least on some of those days... Stay safe!
