Joyful poinsettias

Hello and welcome to the blog today. After a hectic few weeks, I started a much needed 3-week break from work. I spent the major part of my first week sleeping in and sitting out on the shaded terrace reading. After finishing my second book in a long time, I felt the urge to play in a few of my favourite challenges before the linky closes, so I have been spending the afternoon in my craft room.

I started by finishing a panel of masked and stamped poinsettia. I had started this panel a long long time ago (possibly 2 years ago) but never got around to finishing it. And then I put it away somewhere safe and could not find it again ... until recently. Anyway, the current challenge over at CAS Christmas was just the incentive I needed to finally finish it. I used my well loved poinsettia stamp by Winnie and Walter. For the colouring I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, and the sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp. I used one of the lighter red SN markers to add colour to the sentiment. I adhered my panel to a red card base (SSS, Schoolhouse red).

I'm playing at:

CAS Christmas - Poinsettia

The Flower Challenge - #22 Monochrome

Allsorts -  #476/477 Flowers all over
