Sparkle and shine

This is going to be a very quick post, since I have about 15 minutes left to link up this card for this week's LIM 238 sketch challenge.

I used my new Lil'Inker stamp set (bought in a recent sale), heat embossed in sparkling irridenscent embossing powder (Judikins) and coloured with Letraset Aquamarkers (by scribbling onto a palette and picking up the colour with a brush). The sentiment was heat embossed in white (Simon Says Stamp) onto a strip of black cardstock. I added a few sequins for some extra sparkle.

Drawing lines

Today's card came together very quickly and was so much fun to make.

This week's sketch on the CAS(E) this Sketch blog seemed just the right starting point for drawing some lines for Kathy Racoosin's pop-up challenge and do some random colouring using a selection of summery Promarkers (Limited Edition). After the colouring was finished, I thickened the top and bottom lines, stamped a sentiment (Stampendous, Bithday Wish Assortment) and mounted my panel ontp some black strips before adhering it to my card front.

Challenges:

Less is More - 237 Congratulations
I love Promarkers - 283 Anything goes

Summer birthday

I'm so happy I managed to find a little crafty time this weekend.

I was inspired by Kathy Racoosin's pop-up challenge and by this card by Nichole Heady as seen in this post.

I stamped the larger stamp (Papertrey Ink, Friendly Flowers) using a variety of inks (Papertrey Ink and Hero Arts). The smaller image was created by stamping one of the flower images from the set through a mask. I happened to have just the rught size circle stamp to create my mask. The sentiment (Avery Elle, Brushed) was stamped in Archival black ink. I matted my panel onto a black A2 card and finished my card by drawing a few lines using a Micron pen, adding a little clear Wink of Stella in the centres of the large circles and adding drops of Glossy Accents on top.

Happy Little Stampers - CAS: masking

My first stamping attempt did not go as I had hoped, but I managed to salvage part of it and turned it into this sunny card. I used my SSS stitched square dies to create the square panel and frame. Love how it turned out.
