I remembered I had some very old 12x12 papers by DCWV featuring pink and purple snowflakes in my stash, so I dug them out and got to work. I cut the papers slightly smaller than my A2 card (Neenah solar white) and inked the edges of my card front using a dauber and some purple (Studio Calico - Purple rain) and pink (Ranger - Picked raspberry) inks. I also used these inks to colour two pieces of white cardstock to create the Simon Says Stamp frames (Frames die set) in a matching colour. I also die cut the frame from the middle of the PP so that I could inlay the thin frame and then stamp the sentiment (Cheers set by Elle's Studio) in the aperture on the front of the card.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Jingle Belles - Pink Christmas
Merry Monday - 131 Christmas card using non-traditional colours
(also see the gorgeous inspiration photo below)
CHNC - 199 Use sth. forgotten or never used
