The basis for this card is all digital. I printed the snowman again, fussy cut it and affixed it on my card with foam pads to add some dimension. The same goes for the button. For some added interest I stamped the bird, glazed it with Sakura pens and then added some extra colour with Spectrum Noirs. I also added some faux stitching.
The card is based on the following sketch, created by Amy Tsuruta for Jingle Belles.
Materials used:
Nitwit Collections digi kit Polar Pals
(just couldn't resist buying it when I visited the website earlier this week)
Woodware stamp (bird)
Sakura Souffle pens
(white, clear and aqua - for glazing the bird,
the button and to create the faux stitching)
Spectrum Noirs to colour the bird.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

what a brilliant and enchanting design, AND it's a superb version of amy's lovely sketch, but i think the thing i love most is that this really encapusulates what is SO VERY COOL about hybrid crafting: the combination of a layout/supplies that can be used over & over, PLUS just the right "real life" details like fussy-cutting, stitching & stamping to provide texture and interest! ♥WONDERFUL♥!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous card. Love the colours and the extras. the stitching looks great.
