A masculine caffeinated Christmas card

Hello everyone. I have managed to add another Christmas card to my 2023 stack.
I started by created a few backgrounds using distress oxides and a brayer on the inside of an embossing folder. The panel for this card was created by rolling off the brayer onto a piece of watercolour card and then embossing it. I first added squeezed lemonade ink using a brayer to bring out the text but did not like the result, so I then decided to use a domed ink dauber and blueprint sketch DO to lightly go over some of the raised areas and the edges.

The mug (CASual Friday) was die cut from a scrap of cardstock and inked around the edges and the inside oval, while the sentiment strip and die-cut snowflake came from my UFO box.

Christmas snippets card

Hello everyone. Today, I have not one but two Christmas cards that I created using scraps of PP and cardstock. These strips of patterned paper (Marianne Design) have been in my UFO box for ages, so it was high time to finally use them on a card. The sentiment strips were also in my UFO box, while the poinsettias were die cut from a snippet of red cardstock using a NBUS die set by Nellie Snellen that I bought during my family trip to the Netherlands back in October.

Celebrate in style

Hello everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Today, I have a birthday card to share.
I created the smooshed background by picking up some sprayed inks using a piece of acetate and spreading it onto a panel of watercolour card.

I used a previously stamped and coloured butterfly (English Country Garden, Uniko) from my UFO box. If I remember correctly, I started with a smooshed panel to stamp the butterfly and then added detail using coloured pencils. Although I have the coordinating die, I decided to fussy cut the image because I did not want the white border to show on this card. To add more interest, I decided to go over the bottom part with a black marker and then embossed the entire butterfly using clear embossing powder. Below is a close-up, giving a better idea of the glossy finish. I stamped the sentiment (Sentiments Outlined, Uniko) and the antennae of the butterfly onto my panel before popping up the butterfly.
