Love, joy, peace - poinsettia

Today, I bring you tidings of love, joy and peace with this pretty poinsettia from Winnie & Walter (In bloom: Elsa's flora). I have had this set for several years and I keep reaching for this poinsettia for my Christmas cards.

I heat embossed the poinsettia in white, applied several Altenew inks using a finger dauber and then fussy cut the image. For the background, I applied white embossing paste through a stencil that I cut using the Leaf effect cutaway die by W&W. The sentiment is from the Sentimental: Winter set by W&W. I used the darkest of the Altenew inks (Grapevine) to add a strip of colour to my card base before adhering my panel.

Christmas x2

Hello there! I have more Christmas cards to show you all today, inspired by this fortnight's sketch over at the AAA Cards challenge.

After stamping my sentiment (Ombré Sentiments: Christmas, PTI) and greenery (In bloom: Frenchy's festive florals, Winnie & Walter), I finished off my panels in different ways. On the first card, I trimmed my panel closely above and below my stamping and adhered two thin strips of cardstock that I had inked with the same inks that I had used for my stamping (Warm greys, Altenew) before adhering the strip to my cardbase.

On my second card, I adhered the entire panel to a red cardbase and then added two lines using a dark red coloured pencil.

Sending smiles and thanks

Here are two more cards I created today.

For my rainbow cards, I traced around the MFT Shaker flower die onto my white panel and then blended distress inks in rainbow order. I then die cut the flower, stamped my sentiment (Scenery: Bigger Bang Confetti, Winnie & Walter) using black ink, adhered the outer part flat to my card (41/2 x 41/2 inch) and then popped up the center using foam tape.

My Favorite Things - WCMD ROYGBIV (Rainbow)

My second card came together very quickly. I used a previously created shaving foam panel that I adhered to a Schoolhouse cardbase (SSS), stamped 'sweet wishes' (Winnie & Walter) and adhered the  'sending' die cut (MFT).
