MFT CC Day2 - Sunflower

Today I have pulled out all the stops to create a few cards for the current Camp Create event over at the MFT blog. Last year, I won a huge gift certificate that I spent on some fun stamps and dies (and put in some extra money to order even more goodies while I was at it...).
My first card is for Day 2 - Magnificent masking.

I used liquid masking fluid to mask off my stamped image so that I could blend my distress inks for the background. I used a post-it to mask off the grass & sky.

I'm also linking up my card at:

TTTC012 - I went with the bottom row:  die cut, sentiment, floral

One-layer Christmas

Hello and welcome! Today, I'm popping in with a one-layer Christmas card for a couple of fun challenges.

After stamping the car from Tis the Season (Essentials by Ellen), I masked the stamped image using a Molotow masking liquid pen. When this was dry, I blended some inks through another mask that I had created using the smaller of the Window Frame dies (Pretty Pink Posh), that I bought using a gift PPP certificate that I had won. I thought it would be fun to mimic a snow globe to add some interest to my one-layer card. To blend the ground, I simply flipped my mask. After removing the masking on my image, I did some quick and simple colouring using Copics and then used a white Sharpie to add the snow.

While I was making my preparations, I decided I might just as well create 2 cards instead of 1, so that's 2 more cards added to my Christmas card pile.

Tip: because I used 120 pound cardstock by Simon Says Stamp, I did not have any Copics bleeding to the back of my front panel, just perfect for a one-layer card.

Challenges:

LIM - #341 OLC Vehicles

SSS Wednesday - Add a sentiment

ATCAS - #117 One layer

Peace on earth

Hello there! I've manage to squeeze in a little crafty time today to create a quick card using some new goodies.

I die cut my new die (free gift with an older Die-cutting Essentials magazine that I ordered from the UK earlier this month) from a panel of hammered white cardstock (Crafters Companion). I then blended some DOIs (wild honey and faded jeans) onto my cardbase, spritzed with water and blotted with kitchen towel. After trimming my panel, I stamped the sentiment (Decorative ornaments, Simon Says Stamp) and adhered the panel to my cardbase.

I'm linking up my card at:
