Peace on earth

Hello there! I've manage to squeeze in a little crafty time today to create a quick card using some new goodies.

I die cut my new die (free gift with an older Die-cutting Essentials magazine that I ordered from the UK earlier this month) from a panel of hammered white cardstock (Crafters Companion). I then blended some DOIs (wild honey and faded jeans) onto my cardbase, spritzed with water and blotted with kitchen towel. After trimming my panel, I stamped the sentiment (Decorative ornaments, Simon Says Stamp) and adhered the panel to my cardbase.

I'm linking up my card at:

Melonising

Some time ago, my blogging buddy Ruth from Crafting while the baby naps shared a couple of fun cards where she was 'melonising' her stamped images. I thought it was a fun idea but did not give it a go myself until last week, using the heart stamp from Winnie & Walter's True stamp set.

After colouring my images using Copics, I fussy cut them and adhered them to a black panel (Crafters Companion) to which I added some gold splatters using my new Gansai Tambi Starry colours. The sentiment is from the Kindness with Evelin T Designs stamp set (Winnie & Walter).
