Christmas in July 1

I'm back with a few cards for the current Christmas in July event at the Bugaboo blog.

My first card is for the Bingo challenge of Day 4, which came together rather quickly because I used elements I had already created earlier, except for the Bugaboo stocking image, which was cut out from a larger imager and then coloured with Copics and fussy cut. To add a little dimension, I added glossy accents to the red parts. The background (from an older SOA collection) was stamped in various colours of Memento (Luxe) ink, which have a lovely sheen to them. I added Wink of Stella to the red part so that it would get a similar sheen. The die cut doily (from the Natually Inspired SOA collection) was heat embossed using Judi Kinns glitter embossing powder. The die cut sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

I went with the first row down: sparkly, sentiment, embossing

OLC - Kindness

Here's a card I created last weekend but I never got around to posting it on my blog until now.

I stamped the cactus and sentiments from the Winnie & Walter stamp set (Kindness with Evelin T Designs) onto light blue cardstock using my new Catherine Pooler inks. I then addded a little detail to the cactus using white and blue coloured pencils (Spectrum Noir) and also added a little shading to the Kindness sentiment using a white pencil.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 3

Just popping in with one more card for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, combining coffeee cups and trendy pineapples.

The coffee cup stamp is from a Christmas stamp set by Verve Stamps, while the pineapple themed suplies (stamps, die, embossing folder) all came as a free gift with a UK magazine. I did some basic colouring on the pineapples using Inktense pencils, adding a little shading to the fruits and adding just a hint of green to the crowns. I used vellum to emboss the pineapple texture strip.

I'm also linking up my card at:

BTW, did you know that STAMPlorations are celebrating their 4th birhday with several fun giveaways. I know I would love to win items from my wish list.
